Stubbs intercepts a Bulldog pass with about 7 minutes left in 3rd quarter. Score still 20-7, Jackets.

Bulldogs score with 5:19 left in 2nd. Then connect on the extra point to make score 20-7.

With 8:31 left in 2nd Rentz connects with Jackson for a TD catch and long run. Then Rentz finds Carlton for the conversion to make score 20-0, Jackets.

Jackets score 6 more on short run by quarterback Elijah Carlton to go up 12-0 at end of 1st quarter.

Another fumble by Quitman recovered by the Jackets with about 4:30 left in first quarter.

Jackson scores on long run after Tinkle recovers a fumble. 8:06 left in 1st quarter. Jackets lead 6-0.

MV Football: 7th and Jr High Jackets will be live-streamed from Hector. Games start at 5:30 and 7pm.

Students need to sign in on the attendance form for each class in addition to completing any assignments. If this is not done, students will be counted absent.

Remember to do attendance before midnight daily. There may be assignments or tests that are required to be completed before the end of the regular school day. If you have a conflict with completing, you need to contact your teacher BEFORE the scheduled test and work out a solution.

There is a home senior high ball game tonight. Because of Covid-19, the ADH and the AAA have made attendance very restrictive. Each athlete and band member is able to invite a couple of family members to the game. This allows home schools to maintain the attendance between 25%-55%, which is the numbers that have been set by the state. Please help spread the word. Attention parents and former students at MVSD. If you ever received services through the special education program at the district we currently have old records. If you’d like to have these records please contact the school district. If there’s no response in two weeks from the date of this posting, those records will be destroyed per CFR and Arkansas State special education requirements.

Counselor’s Message

MVHS 9-12: ALL students have a set day, based on the grade you are in, to change your schedule. A Google Form will be sent to your school e-mail on this day. You must read and follow the directions. Please do not email Mrs. Hanna asking to change your schedule. Simply fill out the form once it is sent to you and she will let you know once your schedule has been changed or if there is a problem changing the schedule. Seniors- August 26 Juniors- August 27 Sophomores- August 28 Freshmen- August 31 Of course, if you have any concerns or questions, call the high school office.

Please have your student check his/her school email and fill out the forms on website that is shared. If your child doesn't have a school email yet, or for some reason cannot access the school email. No junior high football practice today, August 11th due to lightning. Practice will resume tomorrow Wednesday, August 12.
